Thank you for your interest in the Empow'Her Fellowship. Building community is one of our pillars and we are happy that you want to be a part of it! This application will allow us to gather information about your entrepreneurial project (structure, geographic scope, genesis, challenges and impact), and about you (your motivations and expectations). The objective is to allow us to get to know you better but also to get you to think about your project. This application form, lasting about one-hour, will also allow you to obtain elements to build your theory of change!
A theory of change (ToC) explains "how activities are expected to produce a set of outcomes that contribute to the achievement of intended final impacts" (UNICEF, 2016). We have built this application so that each part allows you to reflect on a part of your ToC. Considering that social impact is a response to a social issue, this application also aims to get you to reflect on the genesis of your project, which can help you to properly define your mission and vision.
In general terms, a theory of change can be useful to
- Build or determine a sustainable strategy
- Measure the impact of your entrepreneurial project and/or define key indicators to track to measure your impact
- Confirm that your project is on track to achieve your planned goals
Note that there is no single theory of change and that the one we propose can be adapted to your needs. To create our ToC template we were inspired by the Impact Value Chain, a tool of the European Corporate Philanthropy Association (EVPA), used to map social impact as a consequence of an organization's process and activities. Therefore, even if you already have a ToC, we invite you to complete this application
This file is composed of 8 parts, 6 of which are dedicated to building your ToC, one on your personal information and one on your expectations about the Fellowship.
Here are some tips for filling out the application:
- Don't wait until the last minute to build it: the questions may require a little time to think about them in order to answer them as well as possible and to make your thoughts clear.
- Don't hesitate to ask for help: friends, colleagues, partners can give you another look at your answers and help you not forget anything.
- Have fun! The main objective of this file is to get to know you and your project. Take us into your story to share your vision.
